Author Guidelines

Regional Synergies in Engineering & Society (RSES) publishes original research of significant scientific or practical value in engineering, social sciences, and regional development. Manuscripts must comply with RSES formatting requirements and be submitted via OJS using institutional email addresses. All submissions undergo initial editorial assessment for relevance and novelty, followed by peer review by at least two independent experts who evaluate clarity, technical soundness, and contribution to interdisciplinary research. Accepted manuscripts are copyedited for clarity, style, and presentation, and published in upcoming issues once any applicable fees are processed, ensuring that the research is formally indexed, citable, and accessible worldwide.

Authors are strongly advised to carefully read all submission instructions and guidelines before submitting a manuscript to RSES (see For Authors). Following these instructions helps ensure smooth processing, timely peer review, and compliance with the journal’s editorial and ethical standards.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm that their manuscripts meet the following requirements:

  • The submission fully complies with the Author Guidelines of the journal.
  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under review in another journal.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting (APA style).
  • All tables and figures are properly numbered, labelled, and placed according to the journal’s requirements.
  • Necessary permissions have been obtained for all photographs, datasets, illustrations, and any third-party material included in the manuscript.
  • The manuscript follows the journal’s standards for language, structure, and ethical conduct, including the use of inclusive and unbiased language.
  • The corresponding author has been clearly identified, with full contact details provided.
